Humphrey Metrodome, spent two years in a transition period at the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank (now Huntington Bank) Stadium, and built and opened U.S. From 2011 to 2019, she managed a robust portfolio of partnerships with MolsonCoors, Delta Air Lines, Hyundai, Buffalo Wild Wings, Pentair, and other Fortune 500 companies as part of the Vikings’ partnership activation team.ĭuring that time, the Vikings closed the Hubert H. Prior to joining OVG, Rooney spent nearly a decade with the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings. She also spent time as director of partnership activation, Global Partnerships and managed the OVG’s Arena Alliance partnership activation portfolio working in the company’s Los Angeles offices.
While there, she worked with the NHL’s newest franchise, the Seattle Kraken, on the opening of its new facility – Climate Pledge Arena. With an extensive background in strategic planning, partnership activation and project management, Rooney joined the conference in June 2022 from the Oak View Group (OVG). In this role, Rooney works directly with Big Ten Conference Commissioner Kevin Warren and senior executive assistant Mai Davis as a significant resource in support of strategic planning and organizational execution for the commissioner and the Big Ten Conference Senior Leadership Team. Emily Rooney is strategic assistant to the Office of the Commissioner.
